do you mean you can'tor I can't? Because I'm looking at the option to import video to layer frames right now.
The gif thing is correct of course but that's a marketing issue. Since they took over Macromedia and pushed fireworks as the replacement for imageready than you are meant to have fireworks and use that. It's no big deal though, you can download many free gif editors that will export to layers for photoshop.
