I am lacking in the mum department so I've never had to deal with that. Must be horrible, having someone shred your taste in partners in front of you.

Actually, I do have a stepmother - lovely woman mind you - and I've never met anyone who has tried to be so non-judgemental in all my life. There have been occasions of stifled laughter though.
