I don't know the person in question,but maybe a deep pink would be better. Poor bastard looks like Simon LeBon at the mo. And you shouldn't wish that on anyone.

Went and had a look at him.He has very light conjunctiva in the pics I've seen.
Rather than them blacking up, try lightening them up but darkening his skin a bit.
Could be wrong - but it's your project. :-D
