I find that with flesh tones it is a handy technique to make sure all your shapes are on separate layers. Then add a layer mask ( in black ) and select white, choose a soft edge brush and reduce the opacity to around 9% then, with the layer mask selected, paint the white over all the hard edges and it gives you a nice soft blending effect.
Not that I'm criticising, just something I've picked up.
