It's not hard to make.
Just get yourself some non-cochneal red food dye and some vegan eggs and make yourself a battenberg.
You don't need to use animal bits in the marzipan or jam, unless you choose to add bacon or something.

Also, Somerfield gives you plenty of premade marizpan for £1.
It's enough to make a large battenberg, it consists of about 29% almonds and the rest is three sugars.
