A couple of Christmases ago Mrs V and I watched two neighbourhood cats for about half an hour.
The Daddy was sitting/lying on the roof of a shed, facing that way. The pretender came from the other way, along the fence ... paw onto the roof ... Daddy's ears are twitching but he's not bothered ... not bothered at all ... pretender ets onto roof ... and sit/lies down facing in the opposite direction, ears twitching. No one's bothered here. Not at all. Oh no.
Then they just happened to get up and walk off in completely opposite directions.
