# A vector is a series of points filled by a colour, therefore it's scalable.
A raster is an image created by individual pixels, and so is lossy.

# I thought it was a little different to 'lossy' I thought:
the interpolation, required when the image is scaled, is likely to balls up.

But given the fact that I stuffed up gif v png recently I'm not going to get to cocky.
