Yep.I started working on creating the BBC thing after I read on a site that they originally did it with a ball on a stick and a parabolic mirror. I started off trying to make the mirror with a ellipsoid cylinder (the POV quadric stuff was a little complicated for the time of night) and ended up leaving it unfinished. Then the other night I got the inclination to finish it off with a proper rendered parabolic mirror and that was the result. The motion sickness one was simply the result of 'moving' the camera in a circle during the render.
