I've been with my girlfriend about 3 years now,during which time I've been in Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield while she's been in Birmingham.
It's not that bad so long as you can grab a weekend together every 2/3 weeks.
There's a decent trainline to London from here at least.

yeah thats exactly what i've been thinking.i guess at the least its an excuse to go to london more often.
