I'm not sure I understand the direction of this campaign either. The petition looks almost deliberately vague:

'Politics is now too important to be left to the politicians. At the next election I want to be able to cast my vote for a new parliament and a new politics.

I demand the right to be able to vote for a change…'

Clear as mud, right? What are they actually asking us to sign up to? A referendum, apparently, but on what? Proportional representation? Reform of the expenses system?

A whois query shows that voteforachange.co.uk is registered to Soapbox Communications, a 'communications agency', but it isn't clear who the client is. Could it be Brass Eye?

It struck me as misdirection and bandwagoning of the "change" slogan from the Obama campaign.
Your suggestion is much more fun than what I suspect. Which is toffs trying to play both ends off the
middle once again.
