That image really shows the nazi theme Lucas was on when coming up with the empireAlso, I am re-reading Asimov's Foundation. It's better than I remembered, but then again I first read it in Dutch, wich was mediocre at best.
A lot of ideas from that book ended up in the Starwars universe.

Nings mateit actually directly contradicts a lot of expanded universe stuff, such as TIE fighter pilots never becoming attached to particular craft, but I guess i'm now typing off into nerdville
