Probably not.
The Jews would have continued their campaign of suicide bombings against British colonial targets and we probably would have pulled out by now, since the place holds no real strategic or economic value. Don't forget that Jewish settlers had been flooding back to Palestine/Isreal since the mid-1800s. It's not like there were no Jews in 1946 and then suddenly millions of them just turned up all at once.
Maybe the situation would be reversed, and the Jews would be living in a shitty ghetto while the Palestinians shelled them instead though.

It was the Americans who advised the British to step aside and allow the influx.
Plus WWII would have been a damn site shorter if the US was in from the beginning and not just there for the photoshoot so the diaspora of European Jews would probably not have had a need to congregate somewhere else :o Anyway, its just a compo entry.
