
I don't get why people are so committed to a perceived limit on filesizes when there clearly isn't an absolute limit.
As long as people aren't taking the piss with half meg bmps and 7 meg vid captures posted as gifs, who cares. Even if they do, the world continues to revolve on its axis and the ignore button is still there to be used.
If a newbie were to post something of a similar quality that was also 8k over, I would like to think that the only people complaining would be mocked by the rest as being petty.
Not that I am calling Toasty petty, as I do see the point he is trying to get at re: double standards, but I think his disapproval should be more targeted to those people who do shout at newbies for posting an image that is slightly over the 100k cr3 arsebiscuit and don't shout at regulars who do the same.
Double standards stinks, but is life, innit.
