A mate of mine once had an owl in a towel at a wedding.It basically flew into their windscreen on the way there, and wasn't at all well, so they wrapped it in a towel to keep it warm and comfy until they could get it to a vet.
I think they did actually manage to get it treated, but it was in a pretty bad way and died a couple of days later :'o(
