however there is (or at least was) a trend for asking people to clear what they owe using a credit card, which probably won't be interest free. However, you maybe able to negotiate the debt that is owed to the secretary of state if you offer to make a lump sum payment for the debt.

I did, until not too long ago, work for the CSA. I actually miss the job.
