when I used to read whizzer and chips comic(about a billion years ago) Jack Oliver wanted to abolish tuesdays as he said they were useless. Monday you'd just had the weekend, weds was halfway through the week, thurs is nearly the weekend and friday/sat/sun was the weekend.

The man's a genius!I had cut out all his strips from Disc and later Record Mirror and kept them in a scrapbook. I also won one of his coveted Plastic Warthogs for having some jokes reproduced in artform in his Record Mirror column *smug pride*
Edited: Oh glory I just read the Wiki article I had no idea he had made it to Wiki and even less of an idea he had passed on :( A huge part of my teenage years he was.
