Anyone

care to meet up for a beer after work? Despite calling itself a wine bar, Walkers ain't too pretentious, honest. Or at least, the cellar bar isn't. Plus it has knackered old sofas for lounging about on.

Awww... I'd love to, but I have lectures on Wednesdays.

Maybe another time, a Monday or a Friday perhaps. :)
By the way, is it not 'farce'? Or do you mean this?
Sorry to get all pedantic on you! :P

Lectures in the evening? How peculiar

I have them on Thursdays too.

And six hours on a train in one day is more than I can take!
Anyway, have fun all. Bar sounds a good 'un.

You're right,

the word is in fact "farce", and the term "Whitehall farce" usually conjurs up images of Ian Carmichael dropping his trousers.

However, this being b3ta I changed "farce" to "farse", just because I could. Hurrah!

Hmmm, the words "wine bar" suggest to me "overpriced drinks and tossers in suits"

But I guess it is the day after payday

I've been there before

and it's not too bad, honest (do you seriously think I'd be at home in a poncy wine-bar?!)

Plus, I'll buy you a drink, just for turning up. Thanks!

Drop us an email, matey?

I'm around all week and trundling along the Central Line to Ealing isn't completely out of the question...

I am broke, and that place looks expensive and is an arse for me to get home from

If it's just going to be the two of us, I suggest either:

We go for somewhere in Bloomsbury that is near my work and your conference

You come round to my house or Beck's house for dinner and drinking

Good thinking!

We'll take this offline and discuss it further at a later date.
