well ...

I might just turn up if you let me know what time your band is going onstage. I listened to the support act's demo on myspace and I really couldn't listen to a whole set of that stuff.

I'd also like to congratulate you for having the balls to play in that part of town. Did you remember to invite all the local crack dealers?

Hmmm

We'll start playing around 9.30 or so. Believe me, Slugs Ate My Parents are ace and worth going to see.

That part of town is a lot better than it used to be. I lived by that pub when I was doing my MSc 3 years ago and didn't have any problems. I know it used to be quite a hotspot for muggings and the like before that.

We have upcoming gigs at Retro bar in the middle of UMIST. I live near there now, and there are an awful lof of smackheads and prossies around. They won't be invited, but there will be the possibility of getting stabbed.

i Know the Rampant Lion. I preffered It when the L was missing.

It could have passed for a physics bar. What music do you play?

Indeed

When the L was missing I used to call it the radical cation (in my head). They had a mad bitch of a landlady there then - Jackie the alcoholic christian fundamentalist. She was horrible.

The music we play is melodic doom metal. Don't be put off if you don't know what that is - we've got heavy guitars, folkish vocals and me being a knob on the drums with occasional double kicking and overuse of crash cymbalage.

We aren't bad. Websites:

Do come along. I'm putting this gig on myself, so if I'm to make my money back on the room hire (£50), I need 33.33333333r people to come along. I should manage that easily enough, but the room has a capacity of 100, so anyone else is welcome.
