I've heard of it but never actually watched it.
Quite a clever thing to put stuff in their that appeals to the parents too though, keeps them entertained, kind of like a lot of kids films where they'll slip a sly adult joke in and the adults in the cinema will piss themselves laughing while the kids all look confused, then the kids laugh like they understood it, but the adults know they didn't because kids are stupid.

The songs they do are almost always aimed at the adults (Sex Pistols, Monkees pastiche were highlights last series). Think the most recent one I picked up on was Lady Gaga.
