i always think of capital punishment
as reducing us as a race. how can we move beyond barbarism when we resort to murder to punish. there is no reparation in capital punishment, just vengeance. If we'd like one day to get out of the shitty mire we're in today, small steps, like not advocating state sanctioned killing in our name, are the only way. regardless of the crime.

I don't see Capital Punishment as a 'punishment'
More as an excision of a potential threat to the race - a removal of a cancer as it were. I don't hold with any idea that all life has worth, some humans prove themselves by their own actions, to be a danger to society. Better that they be removed than kept.
