As for the post it's in, I think it's pretty silly to try to equate an influential scientist who is sometimes grandiose or wrong with a woo jockey whose career is based on exploiting people's susceptibility to pseudoscience.
Tyson is not my favorite popular science guy, but the 'gotcha' conservative pushback against him is really annoying to see so much of.
