I blame John Humphrys
.. for popularising this unnecessarily sneering and bullying style of media interview. The kind where the interviewer clearly has an agenda, and fishes repeatedly for an idiotic sound-bite response that they know they won't get, then try to browbeat the interviewee when they refuse to play their silly game.
