Looking at the website for the one in Manc, they reckon it costs 30k a year to maintain!
Why don't they make something that encircles a square foot in the Printworks and say everything the other-side is the eruv? It'd be a lot cheaper and they could go to the Trafford Centre on a Saturday without god noticing.
