
Trump uses a different sort of rhetorical style than most politicians, but the problem is the content of what he's saying, not the form.
Tons of people speak the way Trump is speaking in this clip and it doesn't mean there's anything intellectually wrong with them. I'm not surprised that he's succeeding by addressing crowds this way because it makes him seem unassuming and unpretentious. I think mocking the way he talks (not unlike a lot of people in informal conversations) takes attention away from the actual horrible things about him as a person and a candidate.

In that monologue alone he boasts about how clever he is, his good genes, his millions of dollars. You think that makes him sound unassuming?
There are about 3 people on links who can actually vote in this election. At least 1 of them has already made up his mind who he's voting for. Pointing out that he talks like someone who's phoned in to Jeremy Vine isnt going to have much effect on the outcome.
