I'm kind of bored of storytelling in games tbh.
Even the best games in terms of story are still crap compared to books, tv, theatre and film. For one thing, it's almost impossible to balance the usual requirements of gameplay (shooting literally thousands of enemies) and the requirements of well paced story telling (unless the storyline is "you're a total psychopath, enjoy yourself"). Just make a game with brilliant mechanics that people want to play again and again, and the stories people will remember from it are the hilarious unexpectedly daft things that emerge from those mechanics in the course of gameplay, more than the often annoying cutscenes they ended up skipping after the first time around.
A lacklustre (or even entirely missing) storyline won't usually damage a game with rock solid gameplay, but the best script in the world isn't going to save a turkey no-one wants to play.
Edit: To be fair, The Last of Us did have both a decent story and good gameplay. I don't mean to knock it in particular. But I've seen much better zombie films and I've played many better zombie games.
