This is a link post Stopped off in a tiny NZ town and saw a sign for the Bayeux Tapestry and I couldn't believe what I saw next!
Guy had reconstructed the entire Bayeux Tapestry from the tiny metal teeth from cogs in industrial knitting machines.

Well you would wouldn't you!

It's evidently coming to UK to join the real thing soon. Fucking love this country, the batshit things you find in these little country towns.
