To be pedantic
that's not an e-bike, rather an e-motorbike that happens to be built around bicycle running gear. Twist throttle, no pedal assist... 9kw is around 12hp, so getting on for as much power as a an L-plated 125, but on a bicycle. Power to weight should be significantly better than a 125, so acceleration a go-go.
Looks like fun, but he needs to learn to ride it like a motorbike, rather than in the gutter like a bicycle.
