This is a link post How to get b3ta when your network manager has blocked the site I made this!
Simple little how-to which may bring joy to your working life if your miserable network manager sees fit to block b3ta

This won't work for all websites, only ones where you can see the website by going to the IP address in your browser. And it won't work on all networks, especially if there's a proxy server involved. But hey, it's worth a try.

This is a normal post Another way
www.daftdoggy.com/edit.php?r=195

Bypasses Websense and a few other filters.

You can use the Record New Session to create your own list of sites that your work blocks but you want to read. Shows up in server logs a www.daftdoggy.com and not the site you're viewing

This is a normal post Funnily enough....
got http://xanderg.kicks-ass.net/cgi-bin/nph-proxy.cgi/000000A/http/www3.barnesy.org/links/ in me address bar. I just substitute the end part of the url for any site that's blocked.

..but I'll think you'll find it's usually "proper" management that force the implentation of traffic blocking policies. The network manager is usually the sought who believes in freedom of choice, etc...

...well, I extrapolate from my own situation as network manager ;?) ]
