Thatcher would give those kind of responses to fully grown adults
who occupied positions of power and importance, such as members of her own cabinet, or stupid journalists who asked questions of her as a woman rather than as the prime minister as though her gender was relevant.
As far as I can recall, she didn't make an insecure tit of herself to cheeky teenagers.
