If he's talking about psychology,
then it's reasonable to assume he knows what he's talking about, since he's an experienced professional psychologist.
Probably not so much if he's talking about evolution, since he's not an evolutionary biologist.

He gets evolution wrong. But then again--so does almost everyone else so I cant really hold him too much to account for that
