Live from Karula National Park in Estonia. The tracking device on Karl, the male from previous years, stopped transmitting data last month upon arrival in Syria on the way back from South Sudan. The female, Kati, is back and has paired with a new male (Karl II). They are now incubating 4 eggs.

Was distressing before seeing them have to push the weakest out of the nest as they could only feed two. Brutal but necessary to preserve the species. Nature not always fluffy and nice.
