He was ace!
But I'm generally against pedigree breeding - they get so inbred, there are some terrible illnesses they suffer from.
Our cat's life was cut short by a congenital disease common among his breed.

Too many people making money from breeding animals without knowing or caring about the consequences.
I've even heard people justify not spaying moggies because they "thought she'd want kittens" FFS.

I do think that all moggies 'want' kittens. If by 'want' we mean they are genetically programmed to reproduce, hence their inherent libido. They also instinctively know how to, and 'choose' to, nurture and nourish their young.

Doesn't 'genetically programmed' preclude choice in most creatures?
I very much doubt they have the cognition to regret being spayed or regret not starting a family, seems anthropomorphic to me.
Difficult to actually investigate either way though.
