Never easy to lose a parent no matter what your age. Unless you hated their guts, I guess, but this doesn't sound like the case here. I feel for you, brother. Out of respect I won't make any mum jokes.
The clotting thing only recently been discovered, and they well might improve the odds with some anti coagulant treatment, but still the main reason for organ failure with covid pneumonia is they're not getting enough oxygen. The pneumonia effect also causes blood sepsis, which puts more strain on your vitals already struggling. I'm not talking our of my arse, I'm having to deliver covid training to health professionals in Australia, who have one of the best survival rates of this depressing pandemic at the moment, mainly because they have a well funded national health service and politicians who at least stay out of the medical side of things.

This is a normal post I had mused about the use of NSAIDs,.
They were contraindicated specifically in the NHS documents I read. Then the bmj link above mentions renal problems associated with them.
