It's both weird and heartening that the truth of the colonial past is coming out
Weird because the truth wasn't widely known by white folks when I was a kid, and it's always freaky to find that there's a grimmer story you were never told - and heartening that times have changed enough that big institutions want to be seen getting on side with that truth.
