There's a lot of "Although <person> actually pioneered <thing>, the Beatles were the first pop band to do it."
And the rest are mostly "The Beatles had a problem that someone else solved for them."
I mean, I like the Beatles well enough, and yeah they brought lots of already-existing things to the mainstream, but is that pioneering?
