I think Charles’ reign will last his lifetime.
William, however, I think may very well be forced to consider the Dutch/Danish model as the only way to survive, and dispense with 80% of the palaces etc as well as cutting the the pomp and ceremony right down. Unless of course the rabid haters run the republican campaign, which may actually save the monarchy.
I had a lot of time for Liz, her children and grandchildren really not so much. I reckon that is a pretty common standpoint.

That's pretty much how I feel. By no means a Royalist/Monarchist, but old Lizzie had a certain charisma that the rest are solely lacking.
Plus, she wasn't a complete cunt.
