I'm the opposite with handshakes, though
I tend to see it as a character flaw for believing in that guff, or some pointless mind game power play if it's really firm that does nothing but give me a mild desire to fuck them over for the impertinence.
But some people do seem to put a lot of stock in it, a cabal of firm handshakers who mutually think they're upstanding characters
