I never understood the appeal of teenage engineering.
Their instruments all seem like unfinished proofs of concept, they all have worse interfaces than fucking Yamaha, they all seem to be at least 3 times too expensive for what they are. You (the royal you) could design and build a better interface with a fucking raspberry pi, some old washing machine knobs, and a VHS case.

Emrace the analogue noise and love Behringer!
I have a couple of their Roland clones, the 303 and 606. The only complaint I have with them is the cheap plastic cases - but at least they come with cases as standard!
I have a vague plan to replace them with wood at some point. Just think how much better they'll sound.
