
for cycling. It's such a congested and poorly planned city that there are hardly any safe places for riding a bike so the best they can do is organise a leisure bike lane, though I did just read that Avenue Paulista has just got a 1.7m cycle lane which is incredible for a Brazilian city

bloody good idea.
The main worry I had was buses. They do not give a fuck and don't slow down. If you get in their way they will run you over. But most of the time I was going faster than the traffic on a bike.
One incident I remember:
