I find the word 'ultimately'
is better. I remember an episode of grumpy old men where Arthur Smith defended the use of swearing saying that it didn't necessarily show a lack of vocabulary, but instead phrases such as 'end of the day', 'basically', 'you know' and 'like' were much worse.
