Isn't what he's describing just inflation? I mean a lemming is a lemming is a lemming, but the value of a dollar reduces over time in line with interest

Inflation is one part
but it's a many-headed hydra. I'd recommend the presentation, as each chapter explains *everything* from the ground up. Each concept in previous chapters is built upon in later chapters. If you're already familiar with economics, you can probably skip the first 15 or so.
The article is more of a taster to the full 'Crash Course'. Just to give an indication of the content and the guy's style, which I find to be amusing and eminently watchable/readable.
