A few years ago, I was looking for a birthday present for my good friend The Furry Dinosaur, and came across Klein Jars, the topological oddities he talks about here. I ordered an acme klein jar and it was shipped to me accompanied by a suitably eccentric packing list (Payment method: PayPal. Payment amount: $44.00. Number of Samurai in Kurasawa's best movie: 7) With a lovely handwritten note across it: "Smiles and Cheers, Tom! --Cliff Stoll" It was only then that I realised precisely who I'd ordered it from. The packing list is still on my wall to this day.
Cheers

You can buy them here handmade by Mr. Stoll himself, they make great gifts for people who have everything else.

Speaking of eccentric packaging, I still have the invoice for one item I bought from him. "1 Drinking Glass - Self Emptying".
Thinking about it, there's no way this site hasn't been posted before some time in the past.
