Most of the professional photographers i've come into contact with simply rent stuff at that level
I mean even as a pro you simply don't need a 56 million pixel Hasselblad on a day to day basis, or even the finest wide angle lens Canon make; it's simply a pointless investment. But yes, me curious as well :)
