This is a normal post There's some great ones on youtube now
But I'm still confused about the rules concerning use of music - I took it to mean you couldn't use anything that wasn't your own, but I don't think Empire were clear enough about not using music from the films, so I wonder if some of the vids won't be eligible (there's a really good Fight Club one but it has Dust Brothers tunes all through it).

I think original music from the film's allowed, but only for no more than 30 seconds.

This is a normal post thats what confused me -
I took "original" music to mean stuff you might write or compose yourself instead of original soundtrack music - the rules say there should be no copyright infringement at all - I don't get how using less than 30 seconds is not copyright infringement as advertisers could use any music they want in that case. I'm so confused!

This is a normal post My old Uni lecturer told us you pay significantly less
if its under 30 seconds hence there being so many 29 second clips.
