To be fair, anytime that I'm ill my two will stay at my feet while I'm in bed, which they wouldn't do normally,
and come over and mew and nudge my face whenever I stir or cough.
It's not just for food neither as when I rise n feed them they come straight back to bed with me. It's one of the few times they get along!
But yes, in the above emergency, I'd prefer an Alsatian or such.
