yes although my arugeuemen against it has always been this:
in advertising/design a lot of money is paid for very little work...thats why you have to put up with bullshit from morons...
otherwise go work in a real job like most people where the majority of their day is totally wasted by a variety of meaningless tasks.
and i say this as an advertiser/designer....

There are 2 piles
Pile one is a small pile of designers who, as you say, get paid a huge amount for little (although in fairness it is the company execs that get the money not the designers).
Pile two is a fucking huge pile of designers that are underpaid, overworked and driven to distraction but tightwad idiots.
I say this as an ex agency and in-house designer and currently 5yr+ freelance

having worked in the industry
for about 15 years, i have to say that its a job loads of people want...therefore dont fucking start whingeing when you finally get a job....
a client is still a client....they are paying you... they can say what they like....
if you dont like it...be a producer or planner and not a designer...
or go be an artist....and be poor.
