I think what Jimbotfu is trying to say is that...
...the things that happened after the things that happened in the past, in the future, will never be the same as the things that happened after the things that happened before... AND, in fact, if the things that happened in the past were to happen again in the future - the things that would happen after the thing that happened in the past in the future would be totally different to anything that may have happened or would have happened after the things that had happened previously, before the previous things that happened after the things that happened before.
I think that's cleared things up.

or to simplify that further... He's saying that consequences...that is...consequences of things that have happened in the past...
...and the ways in which they have happened (in the past) in the future won't be...they're not going to be the same as what they have been. In the way that they will be different to the other ones that are different to the new ones and therefore won't be the same...not just now but ever. We will never see the same ones again as they have been. Before.
