Not so Innocent Police
Whilst I don't believe violence is such a good thing. Why is it that there is public outrage when several cops get hurt, but the public don't give a shit when, (so I am given to understand), the Thames Valley force,(so I am told), beat the shit out of peaceful ravers fairly regularly, (it appears) and get away with it just like that. Obviously the tabloids and the so called impartial BBC don't find such events newsworthy.

Probably because either you just invented the story, or you dumbly repeated the toss that you read on Indymedia?

Not So Innocent Police, Reply to Cosmo
Actually I have been informed of these events by close friends and my own children.I resent the slur that I waste my money on newspapers or slavishly watch the news. I expect you get your info from the products of Murdoch or Berlusconi.
[I would also like to point out that the real Sir Cosmo Bonsor died about 1850 and is buried in Great Bookham churchyard, Surrey - he certainly was a banker]
