This is a link post A long, boring video of the guitar tracking I did today for the new Orphan Gears CD. I made this!
Sorry the video is so quiet. Not much happening in the video, but I thought I'd just show you guys what the progress has been. Just the guitar overdubs, bass and vocals left now.

This is a normal post Yeah, I totally agree.
They're just stood there like statues. I felt like setting fire to my carpet just to get them moving about a bit.

I don't think you can get better monitors for that sort of money. I got mine extra cheap too. I need to get some mopads or something really, because I think I lose a lot of bottom end to my desk.

This is a normal post How much is extra cheap? (git!) mine were £210 2 years ago which I was well pleased with.
...and yeah, mine are still sat on the plywood plank bits they were shipped with (on my desk).

This is a normal post Well, I bought mine as B-stock...
... because they had previously been used as display models. Then after I got them home I found that the transformer for one of them would cut out and the blue light would start blinking after half an hour's use. I took them back to the shop and they just gave me a brand new pair at no extra cost. I only paid £160 for them (probably around the same time you got yours), so I can't moan at all. I've had hours upon hours of use from this pair without a single problem, but apparently that is a common fault with these speakers. I've currently got each one stood on a small square of carpet underlay, but this is far from perfect.

This is a normal post I seem to have very good luck when buying equipment.
I only paid about 100 quid for my Behringer ADA8000 and less than 200 for my M-Audio Lightbridge. I need another ADA8000, and I know I'm going to end up paying closer to £180 for it, but can't bring myself to accept it!

This is a normal post Heck yes!
Mogi is very patient, he usually lets me get away with a few hours before he get annoyed and starts barking at me. His brother is even more tolerant. If I have a long session planned I move them into the living room.
