Detroit Robocop statue could become a reality.
I posted (about a week ago) that Detroit's mayor rejected the idea of
putting up a statue of Robocop in the city. The main outcry from people
was that if it was to happen, it should be privately funded & NOT by the
taxpayer, (fair enough). Since then, a website's been put up appealing for
funds & so far it's raised over $50,000 ($30k in the last 24 hours if this video is accurate). They reckon it'll cost between $50-80k, so it's doing quite well.
